Every Castle Arts set includes a 5 or 6 step tutorial, guiding you through the techniques used to create the image used on the respective packaging. In the case of the Sketch Books, a 5 step tutorial showing you how to draw and shade the knights using graphite from the sketch book cover.

Are the sketch book sheets 9” x12” after removal from book or does this size include the perforated wiro bound strip?
The sheets are 9” x 12” after they have been removed from the sketch book.
Can you use markers permanent pens in the sketch books?
Yes. Marker and permanent pens work well on the multi-purpose paper which is also bleed proof, non-fade and non-yellowing. Ideal for pencils, watercolour and acrylic paints, charcoal, pastel and graphite and watercolour brush pens.
Are the covers made of paper or thin card, or are the sketch books hardback?
The sketch book covers are a thin card, making them soft back.
Is the paper smooth? Or does it have texture?
There is a slight texture with a good tooth. It is not smooth like filler paper or copy paper.
Do the sketch books come as a twin pack as shown and is a tutorial guide included?
Yes, the sketch books come as a twin pack, shrink wrapped together and includes a tutorial guide to drawing the image on the sketch book cover.
With 100 strong, sheets per pad, the twin pack gives you 200 sheets of quality 90gsm paper, acid-free and pH neutral for non-fade quality, priced better than two singles to give you unbeatable value for money.
Our smooth, cartridge paper is totally bleed-proof, non-fade, non-yellowing with a quality of surface that accepts a range of media - Graphite pencils, Coloured pencils, Charcoal sticks and pencils, Pastel pencils, ink and gel pens.
Built for action, the sketchbook has a wiro binding ideal for quick-turnover when you quickly need to capture images. Because each sheet is perforated it can be removed without damaging when you want to proudly display your sketch.
